Lena Nersesian: a production conversation

Lena Nersesian’s Room for Talk costs $15 a month and pairs a 30-minute recorded conversation with an eight-image portrait set. In Making the Room, the discussion looks at the expenses behind a portrait shoot and why a laugh stayed in the final edit. The subscriber gets a discussion of choices and tradeoffs, not just a finished set.

The workflow starts with a release calendar and set expenses, then moves through recording, editing and moderation of the page’s question thread. Lena uses the conversation to explain those decisions. A public process excerpt shows the same discussion before purchase; one release announcement and at most one extra offer reminder each month leave the discussion and portraits as the main delivery. Selected thread questions are answered in the recording, without a promised personal reply.

Pulenaz: selection work in the open

Pulenaz’s $9 monthly Slow Days membership takes a more visual route through the work. A Window Seat story includes 12 images, a 600-word journal, a six-frame contact sheet and a 250-word selection note. The note lets a subscriber compare the frames with the finished sequence and follow the choices behind the result.

The 15-minute Creative Recap answers selected questions on locations and visual edits. Pulenaz schedules three releases and their announcements each month, with at most one extra offer reminder. The membership has more frequent notices than Lena’s, but the notices accompany a video, a photo story and a discussion rather than replacing them.

Choosing the discussion

Choose Lena for a longer conversation about expenses and editing decisions, with one new conversation and portrait set per month. Choose Pulenaz for a cheaper, more varied membership where contact sheets and an answer session explain how pictures are selected.

Neither offer promises private business advice or an individual reply. Both provide access while the monthly membership remains active; the recurring price buys the named releases and their archives, not a consultation.
