One woodland camp in different seasons
Nicole Coenen’s selected videos return to the same woodland campsite for overnight stays in spring and autumn 2025, then again in spring 2026. A distinctive clearing and the same path into camp anchor the visits. She pitches and sleeps at the site on each trip, so the changes appear through the work of settling in as well as through the view.
In spring 2025 she notes the new leaves around the clearing and spends the longer evening outside. On the autumn visit the canopy is thinner and she prepares the evening meal earlier as the light fades. When she returns in spring 2026, she recognizes the path and chooses the same area for her tent, while noticing a fallen branch near the edge of the clearing. Her familiarity gives each small difference a point of comparison.
Three summers at the same campground
Kathryn Frazer’s selected travel videos return to one campground in the summers of 2024, 2025 and 2026, with a camping night on each visit. In 2024 she shows the open area beside her pitch; in 2025 she notices a new picnic table there. In 2026 she returns to that area and observes that the path to the shared facilities has been resurfaced.
She describes enjoying the return because she knows the layout and can compare the details with her earlier visits. The three dated stays make the annual pattern visible; the changes are things she notices at this campground during those visits.
Meeting the same campers again
The campground is also a recurring social setting in Frazer’s videos. In summer 2024 she shares an evening meal with two neighboring campers. They meet at the same campground in 2025 and compare the trips they took since the previous summer. In 2026 the same two campers join her for breakfast and a walk around the campground.
The repeated conversations give the travel account continuity beyond the pitch itself. Coenen’s seasonal series emphasizes learning the routines of a particular wooded place; Frazer’s summer returns show both the physical changes and the people who make a return visit recognizable.
Method
The comparison covers two selected sets of repeat camping visits from 2024 through 2026. The seasonal set includes three nights at the same woodland site; the annual set includes one campground stay in each of three consecutive summers.
