Each monthly email newsletter combines eight styled glamour portraits with a 700-word personal-style essay about the images and their visual theme. In one edition, the personal-style essay follows a narrator setting aside a crowded afternoon to make a quiet room her own. She begins by arranging fabrics, notices how the room changes as the light shifts, and ends by choosing the imperfect, quieter portrait for the final image. The eight photographs trace that same progression.
